Key West Restaurant Amazing Remodel With Antique Cypress

Another gorgeous Key West, Florida antique cypress remodel by Albany Woodworks – The Commodore Waterfront Restaurant.

Looking for a renovation that would uphold their fine dining reputation, the Commodore Waterfront Restaurant came to Albany Woodworks for its top of the line antique cypress for their exterior. This upscale surf n turf restaurant has been called the most beautiful dining room in Key West. The entire restaurant was custom built and offers an open air dining room.

Known for its top choice steaks and fresh Gulf seafood, an attraction for locals and visitors alike.

The Commodore offers choice views overlooking tranquil Old Town Harbor and its many yachts. The Commodore sits on the Key West Bight, the oldest marina in Key West. Since the 1700’s, the Key West Bight has acted as a stopping point for mariners. Key West was uninhabited then and provided mariners fresh water and a chance between Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. The Key West Bight helped the islands become permanently inhabited in 1822 and is said to exude the “Old Key West” ambiance that the Old Town area embodies.

Our superior stock of virgin growth antique cypress was milled into exterior siding, shutters, and doors. It gives the restaurant a vibrant, Caribbean beauty and feel. Chosen for its enduring quality and natural resistance to the elements, our Antique Heart Cypress makes for an attractive and durable exterior treatment.
